Weight Loss Tip #2: Get Support
Do you have a support system in place? Guess what? If you don’t, you are less likely to lose weight and keep it off.
Having a support system while you lose weight is extremely important. Even if it’s just one weight loss buddy, you need someone you can turn to for support. You need someone who is either walking in your shoes, or has been where you are. You need support from people who understand what you’re going through.
One of the things I learned when I lost the last time with Weight Watchers is that you need someone to not only lean on when you’re feeling weak, but to be accountable to. When you know you have another person (or people) who will ask you often how your diet is going, or how you’re doing, you will be less likely to mess up because you’ll know you have someone you’ll have to answer to.
Online support systems are great, but it is best if you can find a weight loss buddy offline. Find someone you can talk to on the phone, exercise with, and meet for low-fat lunches. If you aren’t able to find an offline weight loss pal, then find a weight loss group online that you feel comfortable with. Hang out, get to know people, then start your hunt for a weight loss buddy you can go one-on-one with.

Too true! I’ve always tried to do it alone in the past but this time around I am building that support system. It’s more fun this way anyway! :)
Oh and I’m down .4 of a pound this week. That’s actually great because I have been plateaued for 6 weeks… so I’m happy with almost a half pound loss!

Very true! Without support, it’s extremely difficult to get the weight off (and keep it off).
