Week 1 Weigh In (Hope)
Beginning Weight: 219
1st Goal: 10 pounds
Wow! Sharing my weight for all the world to see is challenging, to say the least. But there it is.
Last week I promised I’d share more of my weight loss goals with you. I have to be very cautious to set reasonable goals for myself starting out. Otherwise I’ll flop, then feel guilty, which always leads to…you guess it. More over-eating.
For now, I’ll start with these goals:
- Drink minimum of 6 glasses of water per day.
- Stick to points target 6 days per week, and allow a “treat” dinner one day.
- Start walking 2-3 days per week.
I have to be honest with you and tell you that the last goal will be the toughest one for me. I have been extremely sedentary for way too long. It’s not that I don’t want to exercise, but I find lots of excuses. The biggest excuse I use is that I can’t leave my kids alone unattended. But I have a plan for that, too. So hopefully next week I’ll be able to report back in and tell you that I met this goal.
I’ll be following the Weight Watchers Points plan to lose this weight. I won’t be attending meetings because I don’t see any point in throwing my money away to go to meetings that I don’t enjoy. I know the plan so I’ll be following it at home and holding myself accountable here.
Regardless of whatever weight loss plan you are following, I’d love for you to share your progress with us here, too! Let us know how you’re losing weight so we can post resources to help you along.

Good for you. Like I said, I am also weight blogging on my sites. I want to throw my scale out the window, I will set my goal at 5 pounds in the next month, I know it is slow and small but I am so darn active and eat so healthy at this point it will not be a rapid weight loss, I have lost about 10 since the beginning of the year and I am now at my low since having kids but about 20 more than before kids. Ugh!!! My hubby on the other hand dropped 10 pounds in the last 10 days, go figure!!!!

I want to throw my scales out too. :) This has been a torturous week for me. Men always seem to lose weight faster and easier than women. My husband’s the same way. I could diet for weeks and lose 2 pounds, and he’ll lose 5 in 2 days without doing anything much different.
